Benefits of the Breathe & Learn Approach
Sense of Self
Breathe & Learn helps students identify and regulate emotions. We nurture emotional intelligence through discussions and activities centered around the weekly themes. Building strong self-awareness and social awareness are at the core of our program.
All of the components of a B&L class offer students various tools and the time and space to slow down and release stress. They journal and connect with each other, learn breathing exercises, move their bodies into different poses and engage in visualization exercises. All of which can be used outside of the yoga studio.
The self-reflective nature of yoga, journaling and weekly themes support students in developing a true sense of self.
Students practice movements, balance, and hand-eye coordination. They become more connected to their mind, body and breath.
Small-group work and partner postures provide opportunities for students to build and maintain relationships with their peers and teachers.
Yoga stories and games engage imaginations and offer an alternative way for students to practice and showcase their yoga knowledge.
