Many people have been asking for more yoga and mindfulness resources to support their children at home. I hear you and I'm working hard on creating more of this for you!
My goal is to pass along simple, at-home strategies and activities that encourage connection and "breathing and learning" at home. It doesn't mean sitting and meditating daily. In fact, quite the opposite.
Don't get me wrong, a formal mindfulness meditation practice is beautiful and encouraged, but it's not the only way to bring mindfulness into your life.
Mindfulness is also a way of being. Get started today by consciously connecting with your family.
Make it your goal to be 100% present as you complete the family connection bingo board. Put down your phone (maybe even turn it off!!) and check in.
Attention and connection are what so many of us truly crave. While our phones have allowed us to connect globally (thank you!), they've also robbed us of the present moment quite a bit.
Challenge yourself to become more aware of how you're spending time with your family this week. Are you distracted by the bings and buzzing? Are you busy capturing the moment or are you actually in it?
