Putting It Into Practice

This is it!  This is the PERFECT time to put your yoga, mindfulness, meditation and all health and wellness practices into practice! 

As I remind my students over and over again, we practice yoga and mindfulness so that we can embody all of the principles and teachings in our everyday lives.  There are definitely physical benefits too, but today I've been thinking more about mindset and self-awareness.  

This holiday season will no doubt trigger some big feelings for all of us.  Instead of getting wrapped up in assumptions of what might happen or stuck in a cycle of sadness or negativity.... simply walk with the feeling that everything is going to be okay.  The universe gives you what you're interested in.  So, be interested in love, connection, family, joy and gratitude.  Without any judgement, catch your mind when it starts creating stories or gets stuck on an idea or emotion that isn't fulfilling a greater sense of peace and love.  Become more self-aware and choose happiness from the moment you wake up.

In one way or another, you and your family have been practicing for these moments.  Support one another and offer friendly reminders.  You have a desire to continuing growing, breathing and learning...or else you wouldn't be a subscriber to these emails;).  Show it off this holiday season!
